How to Wire the Welding Machine?

Principle:
Electric welding equipment uses electric energy to melt the solder and the material to be welded on the welding rod by heating and pressing, that is, the high temperature arc generated when the positive and negative poles are short-circuited instantaneously. With the help of the combination and diffusion of metal atoms, two or two A devices where the weldments above the pieces are firmly connected together. It is specifically composed of a welding rod, an electric welding machine, an electric welding clamp, a grounding clamp and a connecting wire. According to the type of output power, it can be divided into two types, one is AC welding machine and the other is DC welding machine.
AC Welding Machine
The structure of the electric welding machine is very simple, it is a high-power transformer. They use the principle of inductance, the inductance will produce huge voltage changes when it is switched on and off, and the high voltage arc generated when the positive and negative poles are short-circuited instantaneously is used to melt the solder on the electrode, so that they can achieve the purpose of atomic bonding.
The difference between the two:
Compared with AC welding machines, DC welding machines have stable arcs, are not easy to break the arc and have less spatter. DC welding machines can weld acid and alkaline electrodes, while AC welding machines can only weld alkaline electrodes. DC welding machine has more rectifier parts than AC welding machine, the cost is slightly higher, and the price is slightly more expensive. High-power AC welding machines can only use two-phase power at most (how to connect them later), so it is easy to cause unbalanced three-phase power consumption, while high-power DC welding machines use three-phase rectifiers without this problem. The peak value of the secondary voltage of the transformer is constant, and the no-load voltage of the DC welding machine is higher than that of the AC welding machine, and it is easier to start the arc. DC welding machines have relatively high requirements for the working environment, while AC welding machines are not demanding. DC welding machines are more energy-saving, but AC welding machines are more durable and durable. DC welding machines are suitable for a variety of welding rods, light weight, suitable for mobile, and AC welding The machine is relatively heavy and not suitable for movement.
Electric welding machine connection:
The welding clamp is connected to the welding clamp connection hole on the welding machine through the connecting wire; the ground clamp is connected with the ground clamp connection hole on the welding machine through the connecting line; the weldment is placed on the flux pad, and the ground clamp is clamped to one end of the weldment; Then clamp the holding end of the welding rod on the welding jaws;
The shell of the electric welding machine should be grounded or connected to zero (the grounding device can use copper pipe or seamless steel pipe, the depth of burying it should be more than 1m, and the grounding resistance should be less than 4Ω), that is, use a wire to connect one end to On the grounding device, the other end is connected to the grounding end of the shell of the electric welding machine.
Then connect the electric welding machine to the distribution box through a connecting wire, and ensure that the length of the connecting wire is 2 to 3 meters. The electric power distribution box should be equipped with an overload protection device and a knife switch, etc., which can supply power to the electric welding machine. Individually controlled.
Before electric welding, the operator should wear welding clothing, insulating rubber shoes, protective gloves, protective mask and other safety protection tools, so as to ensure the personal safety of the operator.
